Marisa Hoff - Sales and Marketing Track Chair

Director of Operations | Stevenson Consulting
Named one of IHRSA’s Women Who Inspire in 2019, Marisa Hoff is the director of operations at Stevenson Consulting, a full-service consulting firm based in Westlake Village, California. Marisa’s current focus is working with fitness professionals and their businesses to achieve growth and continued success. For nearly 10 years, Marisa was the general manager at Stevenson Fitness, a full-service 7,500-square-foot boutique health club in Southern California. Marisa oversaw all club operations and worked to build a membership of more than 2,000 members with an NPS (net promoter score) consistently in the 90s, retention rates over 70 percent, high active user rates, and a booming group exercise program. Both the personal and small group training departments thrived under her leadership. Marisa holds a master’s degree in education and is an international presenter at fitness conferences, including IHRSA, The Retention Convention Beijing, Club Industry and IDEA.

Bill McBride - Leadership and Managment Track Chair

Bill McBride is a health club industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience leading and managing all aspects of commercial health clubs, medical fitness centers, residential, community, multi-tenant and corporate fitness sites. He co-founded Active Sports Clubs and Active Wellness LLC. McBride has served as chairman of the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association Board of Directors, president of the Mid-Atlantic Club Management Association and served on the Industry Advisory Board for the American Council of Exercise. He is actively engaged as an author on industry education, serves on several fitness-related technology company advisory boards, serves on the Medical Wellness Association and MedFit Network advisory boards and speaks regularly on industry topics throughout the world.

Dori Nugent - Programming Track Chair

Membership Director | Club La Maison Health & Fitness Complex

With 20 years of experience in the industry, Dori Nugent taught group fitness classes, managed teams of group fitness instructors and now is the Sales and Membership Director at Club La Maison in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Nugent has managed teams ranging from 5 to 75 and has found her niche in building fitness teams around her “Winners vs Warriors” method. Dori is also the host of the number one fitness business podcast in the world: The Fitness Business Podcast. Dori also serves on the Board of Directors for MACMA (mid-Atlantic club management association) and has been an industry presenter both at IHRSA and the Club Industry show, plus has appeared in both Club Business International magazine, as well as Club Solutions magazine. 


Chris Stevenson - Retention Track Chair

Chris Stevenson - former Power Ranger stuntman - is the founder of Stevenson Consulting, a full-service consulting firm based in Westlake Village, California. Chris’s current focus is to help businesses and entrepreneurs of all types maximize potential. His expertise stems from his past hands-on experience in all aspects of the health club industry. For almost 20 years, Chris and his team successfully owned and operated Stevenson Fitness, a full-service boutique health club in Southern California. The club’s success was based on providing an unparalleled member experience, centered on proper staffing, systematic operations, and world-class leadership. This success was reflected in the club’s NPS, which was consistently in the 90s (industry average is in the 40s). Chris is an international speaker who regularly presents at IHRSA, Club Industry, IDEA and many other fitness and business events. He also sits on the board of directors of IHRSA and the Customer Engagement Academy. From health and wellness to business strategies, Chris has the unique ability to connect instantaneously with people and to present viable, applicable lectures that resonate with every audience.


Matt Wright - Personal Training Track Chair

VP of Personal Training & Programming  | City Fitness
Matt Wright MS, EP-C is the VP of Personal Training and Programming at City Fitness in Philadelphia, PA. Matt has spent 10+ years in fitness leadership with an emphasis on member engagement, programmatic solutions for personal/group training, staff education/retention and team culture. Matt is an international presenter/educator, member of the IDEA World Personal Trainer Committee and former president of NEHRSA. Matt has educated as an adjunct professor teaching: Kinesiology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Exercise Technique & Prescription. He holds a masters degree in Sport & Exercise Psychology and is a certified exercise physiologist.
