There is substantial data to support that aggressive lifestyle modifications with exercise, diet, and weight loss are not inferior to medicines and interventions. On the contrary, aggressive lifestyle modifications are complimentary and synergistic with medicines and interventions for both preventing disease and/or regression of disease. This symbiotic relationship will afford us the opportunity to impact more patients.
However, we must make prevention interventions attainable for the vast population whether through on-site programs, apps, social media, and/or a combination that will be conducive to a patient’s lifestyle, culture, and accessibility.
